We are thrilled to share the news that Dementia Sings Out has been honoured with the Happy and Healthy Community Award at the Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Annual Awards 2024!
The awards ceremony, held on Thursday 28th November at the prestigious Royal Theatre, brought together community organisations and volunteers from across the county to celebrate their incredible contributions.
This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of everyone involved with Dementia Sings Out. Our project has always been about creating an inclusive space where individuals living with dementia, along with their families and carers, can come together, connect, and find joy through the power of music. Winning this award not only highlights the importance of our mission but also shines a light on the positive impact that community initiatives like ours can have.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees and winners from the evening. A special mention goes to our very own Alan Mason, who was also shortlisted for Volunteer of the Year. Alan’s unwavering commitment to supporting our community inspires us all, and we are so proud to see his efforts recognised.
We are incredibly grateful to the Northamptonshire Community Foundation for their support and for bringing together such a wonderful network of groups and organisations. The connections we have made through this platform continue to inspire us and drive our work forward.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Dementia Sings Out – this achievement belongs to all of us! Together, we are creating a community that truly sings in harmony.
